Best Juicer
79With so many different types and brands of juicers on sale today you may be confused about which type to buy. There are many different things that you have to consider. The first thing, which you already know the answer to is, how experienced at juice making are you? Perhaps you already own a juicer. Therefore the best juicer for you is going to be different to someone who does not yet own one of these products. This is an important distinction to make and one which I want to discuss fully. I hope to be able to help you find the best juicer that will allow you to make great tasting fruit and vegetable drinks. The three types of appliances that I am going to discuss are centrifugal juicers, masticating juicers and twin gear juicers.
These machines all extract juice from the produce that you feed into the juicer but the way that they work is quite different.
Best Juicer Under $100
I would say that the best juicer to be found for less than $100 is also the best juicer to start out with if you are new to juicing. At this price you can try out making juices for yourself and if it is something that you really enjoy, you can think about getting another style of juicer in the future. That said, the juicer that I recommend, the Breville BJE200XL, is a great juicer in its own right and is quite capable of satisfying most juicing needs that you may have.
What I like about this juicer is its simplicity and the fact that it is such a quick machine. If you take a look at the video below you will be able to see just how quickly it can convert your fruit and vegetables into a healthy juice. This all comes for the low price of less than $100. So if you are on a tight budget but are looking for ways to improve your health then this may well be the best juicer for you.
Best Centrifugal Juicer
Breville make a number of different centrifugal juicers. This style of machine is the fastest type of juicer that you can get. For most of us, they are also the easiest to use and are actually the most common type of home juicing appliance used today. The model described above is the best budget juicer. If you spend more money though you are able to get an even more advanced machine.
One of the latest models that has been released is the Breville BJE510XL. This machine is similar in many ways to the BJE200XL. However there are differences. When you look at these two machines, most people would agree that the BJE510XL looks more attractive. It also comes with a separate pulp collection section. This makes cleaning the machine even easier. Also, you should be able to juice for longer without having to empty the device. This unit is about double the price. Another feature that it has that is very handy is a variable speed setting. There are actually five speed levels that you can choose from. This is advantageous because you can change the speed to suit the fruit and vegetables that you are juicing. Hard vegetables like beets and carrots would demand a high speed. But then if you want to juice softer fruits such as berries or melons then a lower speed setting would be optimal.
Other Centrifugal Juicer Options
- Jack LaLanne Juicer
This is a popular juicer but not one that I have used personally.
Best Masticating Juicer
Some people start off with a masticating juicer. Then there are others who choose to get this type of machine after having used a centrifugal juicer for a while. It is perfectly acceptable to have more than one juicer, especially if they are a different type because in many ways they are separate products. A masticating juicer can do things that a centrifugal machine cannot and vice versa.
I suggest that the Omega J8003 is the best masticating juicer. The reason for this is that it is the lowest cost model in the Omega masticating juicer range. Even so, it has almost all the technological features of the top of the range model, the J8006. There are only two real differences other than the cosmetic ones. The cheaper model comes with a 10 year warranty as opposed to 15. Secondly, the auger, which is the part that does the juicing, is made of plastic whereas the J8006 has a special more durable auger made of GE Ultem plastic. This simply makes it strong enough for commercial use. But as a home juicer, the J8003 is perfect.
This type of machine is better than centrifugal juicers at extracting the juice from green vegetables. It can also juice wheat grass. This is one of the most attractive capabilities as far as I am concerned. In addition, the Omega J8003 has a range of other functions such as being able to make vegetable sauces, frozen desserts as well as pasta.
Best Twin Gear Juicer
Twin gear juicers cost more than the other two types discussed above. So again, I am going to suggest the cheapest model. The Green Star GS-1000 is actually the same machine as the more expensive Green Star models. The difference is that it comes with less attachments so therefore cannot do quite as much other food processing. But as far as juicing is concerned, it performs very well.
The reason people choose twin gear juicers is to be able to get the highest juice yield possible from the ingredients that you have. In this respect, they are the best juicers. A twin gear machine may be a bit too expensive to consider as a first purchase. Many people who have been juicing for a while choose this type of unit as their second juicer.
Juicing For Health
In many respects, it does not matter what juicer you use. The most important thing is to give our bodies plenty of fresh fruit and vegetable nutrition through consuming vitamins and minerals this way. You can find the best prices for all of the machines mentioned above on Amazon. If you are still unsure which type of machine you should get, you may want to read more juicer reviews to help you make up your mind.

Good review. I'm partial to the Breville 800jexl. It's one heck of a juicer. All around, Breville makes great juicers.
